Since high school, Dr. Scarlett Noth has been intrigued with the eyes and how they work. "I took my mother to an eye exam, and I thought the whole process was fascinating," she said. "While in college, I learned more about the eyes and decided to be an eye doctor."
Today, Dr. Noth is helping JenCare patients learn more about their eyes and how healthy habits can affect vision and overall health. “I believe in a holistic approach to healthcare and want to help patients take care of the body before they need to treat a disease," she adds.
Dr. Noth completed undergraduate studies in biology at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree and completed her internship at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She also completed externships in primary and pediatric care at Great Lakes Naval Base and Whittier Vision Center (respectively).
She focuses on primary, diabetic and glaucoma eye care. Prior to joining JenCare, she served the vision needs of patients in retail, primary care and military hospital-based care settings. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and speaks English and Mandarin Chinese. Dr. Noth's family includes her husband, Scott, their three children and the family pet, a dog named Jolene.
