“I love being a podiatrist,” says Dr. Tracy Smith. “When I was a little girl, I played with dolls; however, I especially enjoyed playing with my doctor bags and chemistry sets and entering science fairs as I grew older. Today, I enjoy treating patients and using my specialized training to educate them.”
Dr. Smith has a special interest in working with seniors. “I feel they deserve so much more from our health care system than what they have been receiving. One of my missions in life is to prevent as many lower extremity amputations as I can. To do that requires educating, treating and empowering my patients to make healthier choices that lead to better medical outcomes.”
