About Miriam Gwathney
Dr. Miriam Gwathney explains that her own experiences with physical disabilities led her to pursue a career in healthcare. “I understood what my patients have experienced during the various states of diagnosis and treatment,” she says. She strives to be available for patients and likes seeing them frequently. “I want to make sure that my patients feel comfortable with me and that their needs are being met,” she explains. She adds, “My favorite part of my profession is developing long-lasting relationships with my patients as well as my staff.”
Before realizing her interest in science and medicine, Dr. Gwathney was an artist. She loves sewing, crocheting, and knitting in her free time. She also enjoys playing with her kitties.
