“I’m not sure if I chose the profession or it chose me,” says Patricia Simpkins, who has been working in healthcare for nearly twenty-five years. She loves getting to know patients and developing an individualized care plan. “I will listen to them and actually hear what they are saying as it relates to their healthcare,” she says. She often reads articles to stay up to date with the latest medical advancements. “I am always intrigued and want to learn about new treatment modalities or new procedures,” she says. She adds, “I want every senior to have the best quality of life in their later years.”
In her free time, Patricia Simpkins enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes writing poetry, reading, and knitting.
