Roberto Grau Varela has worked in the medical field for over twenty years and finds it very rewarding. “Being a nurse practitioner is not just a career, it’s a duty to help others in need,” he says. He strives to help patients “improve their health literacy to empower them to take better care of themselves.” He adds, “A patient’s ability to enjoy life, even if they can’t be cured, makes a huge difference to them and to their families.” Open communication, active listening, and kindness are key in his practice. He enjoys discussing new medical developments with his colleagues.
In his free time, Roberto Grau Varela likes watching historical movies and World War II documentaries. He also loves dancing.
